Victoria Gelman

For the coming Berliner Dialogkonzerte on 14/15/16th of June a heartfelt welcome to Victoria Gelman to our team.
Victoria was born in Tiberias, Israel.
She plays violin since age of 5 , her teachers were Prof. Irina Etigon, Mila Feldman and Haim Taub.
Victoria finished her Bachelor with Prof. Hagai Shaham at the Buchman-Metha music academy. Currently doing her Master degree with Prof. Mark Gothoni in Universitat Der Kunste- Berlin.
Victoria won the III prize of international contest for young musicians in Lithuania in 2004,
America - Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship award in 2005-2017
Received The Buchman - Heyman Foundation prize in 2007,
Won First Prize of "Maestro" Israel National Competition for Young Musicians in 2008\2013. Won 2nd place in the Academic solo competition 2015.
Victoria was invited to perform in the Paris Municipality Hall ( 2006 )
and in Kremlin, Moscow ( 2008 ), in Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, England, Latvia and
Italy,
Performed with "Meitarei ha Galil" Orchestra and Raanana Symphonnet
under the conducting of Omer Welber and Gil Shohat. Performed with Buchmann-Mehta orchestra under Eyal Ein-Habar. This January she played solo in the Israeli Philharmonic hall with the Bmsom Orchestra under the conductor Yoel Levi.
Victoria took part in master classes with well known musicians such as Miriam Fried ,
Itzhak Perlman, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Shmuel Ashkenazi, Dora Schwarzberg, Vadim Gluzman, Julian Rachlin, Patinka Kopec, Grigory Kalinovsky, Ilya Kaler. Members of szymanowski quartet and Jerusalem quartet in chamber music.
Also took part in Heifetz Institute of Music, Keshet Eilon mastercourses, Zeist music Festival in Netherlands, Isa Music Festival.
At 2011 Victoria was the youngest musician of Israeli Internet Orchestra concert in Tel Aviv
under Yuri Bashmet’s baton.
Victoria performed in some Israeli TV & Radio programs and she won the young artists
competition of "Kol ha-Musica" Israel Broadcast Authority at December 2012. Played previously in the main quartet at the Israeli “Musethica” program.
Victoria used to play for few years on a violin loaned from American – Israel Cultural Fonundation,
Now plays on a French violin- Granjon And with a bow, donated by WIZO.
